According to the literature, there is no risk factor can be the cause of 100% of the stroke. However, we may reduce he death rate by 75% and 50% incidence of stroke because of preventive measures. The article contains materials that characterize the incidence of stroke and mortality from it in the world. Materials and methods. The literature materials for specifying the risk factors and their importance in the development of stroke and prevention methods are viewed. A survey of 188 patients with stroke, including the question of the nature of power, behavior, profession, social conditions and others is made. Results and discussion. According to the Research Center of Neurology risk factors for stroke are divided into 2 groups: controllable and uncontrollable.
