The role of the health saving technologies in the health protection of the primary school age children

Abstract


Background. The tendency of the increasing of the morbidity among primary school age children is observed now, especially after their entering school, that determines the necessity of the Health Saving Technologies (HST) implementation. Aim. To estimate the influence of the Prof. O.D. Dybohay HST «Education in moving» on the health and adoption abilities of primary school age children. Materials and methods. The deep clinical-instrumental examination  of 153 primary school age children was held at the beginning (2013) and during the studying process (2013-2018) in the Kyiv secondary school № 287 (n =65, main group), where  HST «Education in moving» were implemented and in the Boiarka secondary school № 3, Kiev region, where HST were not used ( n=88, control group). Results. It was proved increasing of the amount of the children with harmonical physical fitness (from 27,7% to 63,9%) in the  main group, and changes in the physical fitness among children of the control group were not observed (from 38,6% at the first grade to 41,7% at the fifth grade). The indices of the functional state of the cardiovascular system (CVS) were improved (by the Baievski’s index data) (97,2% versus 33,3%), the high and above the average levels of the heart functional reserve (by the Rufe’s test data) were observed in the main group 77,6% and only 8,4 % of the control group. Also the functional reserve of the respiratory system was grown among children in the main group (from 41,5% to 88,9%), while the index in the control group two times lower. The amount of the children with satisfied results of the Shtanhe’s test increased from 67% to 87%, and in the control group decreased in 2,7 times. The Hench’s test was done successfully by the 100% of children in the I group at the end of the academic year, while in the II group only 76,5%. The amount of the children with high Living Index had increased ( from 58,5% to 97,2%) in the I group, and the Living Index in the II group was reduced (from 27,3% to 16,7%). The communicable diseases resistance was improved among children of the main group - the number of missed days of training per a school year per a student was 15,9, while in the control group it was 53,9 days; the percent of the recurrent respiratory diseases reduced (from 5,0% to 2,5%) versus 7,5% in the control group and also complicated forms (from 15,0% to 3,5% versus 16%) granting the absence of the growth of the volume of the chronic pathology in the I group and reduction of the functional disorders of the cardiovascular system in 3,8 times. Conclusions. The HST «Education in moving» usage improves the communicable diseases resistance and the functional state of cardiovascular system and respiratory system among children in primary school that allows to recommend it for the wide implementation.
